PowerNel™ 1000
Unsensitized Bulk Emulsion
PowerNel™1000 is a 5.1 oxidizer in the form of an ammonium nitrate/hydrocarbon bulk emulsion. It must be blended with ANFO mixtures in various proportions to achieve detonation. PowerNel™1000’s superior quality was developed to be utilized as the base product for Nelson Brothers’ sensitized bulk emulsions. It functions excellent in dry or wet hole applications.
PowerNel™ 1000 FG
Unsensitized Bulk Emulsion
PowerNel™ 1000 FG is is a 5.1 oxidizer in the form of an ammonium nitrate/hydrocarbon bulk emulsion. As an unsensitized emulsion matrix PowerNel™ 1000 FG is used in combination with ANFO in various proportions to meet individual blasting needs. Manufactured with high-quality ingredients, PowerNel™ 1000 FG is well-suited for use in environmentally sensitive areas. For custom borehole density design, PowerNel™ 1000 FG can be sensitized by chemical gassing with sodium nitrite solutions to densities designed to provide maximum energy control.
PowerNel™ 1500
Sensitized Bulk Emulsion
PowerNel™1500 is a thermoplastic-sensitized, high-velocity, booster-sensitive bulk emulsion. Through consistent quality PowerNel™1500 can tackle light production to heavy cast blasting. As Nelson Brothers’ flagship emulsion PowerNel™1500 has proven to have reliable, consistent, and powerful performance under the most demanding conditions of open-pit mining and construction. PowerNel™1500 is excellent in dry or wet hole applications with a bore hole diameter of 3” or larger.
PowerNel™ 2000 KA
High-strength Sensitized Bulk Emulsion
PowerNel™2000KA is a glass-sensitized, high-velocity, booster-sensitive bulk emulsion recommended in areas where emulsion products may be subjected to unusually high pressures or stress. PowerNel™2000KA’s high strength glass microspheres have an isocratic crush strength (90%survival) of 3000 psi ensuring detonation under the most extreme conditions. PowerNel™2000KA is also available in package form.
PowerNel™ 2500
Oxygen-Balanced Sensitized Bulk Emulsion
PowerNel™ 2500 incorporates the latest in bulk emulsion technology. PowerNel™ 2500 is thermoplastic- microsphere-sensitized, high-velocity, oxygen-balanced, and booster sensitive. Oxygen-balanced emulsions provide more applied energy with minimum NOX and CO emissions. PowerNel™ 2500 is formulated to exhibit improved pumping characteristics. For custom borehole density design, PowerNel™ 2500 can be combined with our gassing technology for maximum energy control.
PowerNel™ PLUS
Explosive Ammonium Nitrate Mixture
PowerNel™Plus is a blend of ammonium nitrate/hydrocarbon emulsion in the form of a water-in-hole emulsion explosive with ANFO and a detonation pressure modifier. The product is specifically designed to reduce or eliminate post blast NoX from fume prone environments and is ideally suited for softer ground applications where there are elevated levels of fume.
